Jay's Hands

A community project to benefit the Child Advocacy Center

Jay's Hands is a project designed by Do Art, LLC to honor the late Dr. Jay Herrington and support the Child Advocacy Center.  Dr. Herrington was a founding member of the board of the Child Advocacy Center and was an avid supporter of this non profit organization dedicated to serving the  child abuse victims of Alachua County.

Supporters of the Jay's Hand project will make ceramic art ornament pieces, by rolling and molding clay, painting the clay pieces, and stringing the pieces to make a beautiful ornamant.  The ornaments will be hung around the Gainesville community with a message about child abuse.  It is the purpose of the project to bring awareness of the reality of child abuse and the important work that the  Child Advocacy Center performs each day.  All profits raised from  the donations received from Jay's Hands will go directly to the Child Advocacy Center.
